charettes-delcharbor.PNGThe master plan for Delcambre includes
the new recreational marina and industrial port.

Delcambre Port Expansion[click drawing to enlarge it]

At the top left quadrant of the drawing
is the town of Delcambre. At the bottom righthand
quadrant is the proposed location of the
new industrial fishing port. This facility can
be used as safe harbor for recreational and
industrial shipping in the event of hurricanes.
In both cases, FEMA mitigation funds should
be acquired to dig the canals and raise the
land to safer heights.

A new marina, accomodating recreational
boating, could serve all of Vermilion Parish.
