The Dave Robicheaux’s Hometown Literary Festival is coming April 8th at Shadows-on-the-Teche.

NEW IBERIA, La. — Dave Robicheaux’s Hometown Literary Festival will have an assortment of activities during the weekend to fulfill every bibliophile’s wants, but during the nights New Iberia will bring them all together in two big celebrations, Bayou City Jam and Black Cherry Blues & Boudin.

On Friday, April 8, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m., Bayou City Jam, the festival’s opening reception, will kick off a fun filled weekend. Attendees of the Cajun pig roast at Shadows-on-the-Teche (317 E. Main St.) will be serenaded by music from the Bunk Johnson Brazz Band. The Cajun cochon de lait (pig roast) with hors d’oeuvres shouldn’t be missed. So, prepare your best Cajun accent and we’ll see y’all there, cher!

On Saturday, April 9, from 7 – 9 p.m., in Bouligny Plaza at the Steamboat Pavilion (102 W. Main St.), Black Cherry Blues & Boudin will showcase Cajun food and the blues band Keith Blair Trio will perform. Grab a drink at the party or stroll down Main Street to see why Dave Robicheaux always wanted to come back home.

Tickets can be purchased for both events online at Eventbrite.com, or by calling Shadows-on-the-Teche at (337) 369-6446. For more information on Dave Robicheaux’s Hometown Literary Festival, visit IberiaTravel.com.
